1. School of Management and Business Studies.

The Programmes/courses offered in the School of Management and Business Studies are;

• Accountancy
• Banking and Finance
• Business Administration and Management
• Mass Communication

2. School of Sciences.

The Programmes Offered in the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, School of Sciences are;

• Statistics
• Science Laboratory Technology
• Computer Science

3. School of Engineering Technology.

The School of Engineering Technology, at the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, offered only full-time National Diploma (ND) in the following programmes/courses;

• Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
• Computer Engineering Technology

The School of Engineering Technology does not offer courses for part-time ND students. The Schools of Sciences and Management & Business Studies are the only two that allow part-time for the ND Programmes, which takes 3 academic sessions (basically 3 years).

On the other hand, full tile ND Programmes take a duration of 2 academic sessions. This proves that part-time programmes take longer to finish when compared to full-time ND programmes.

However, for students who wish to apply for the Higher National Diploma programme, be notified that only the School of Management & Business Studies accepts applicants for it. The School of Sciences and Engineering Technology does not offer a Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. Take note of this vital information.

Admission Requirements into the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic.

National Diploma (ND) Full-Time Programme Requirements.

To apply into the ND programmes, you must meet the following requirements;

• You must have at least 4 O’ level Credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at only one sitting. If you do not meet this qualification, you are required to have a minimum of 5 O’level Credit passes including English and Mathematics. Fair enough! Also note that the only O’ level examination bodies accepted are WAEC, NECO & NABTEB.
• You, as the applicant, must have a minimum UTME score of 120. If you score below 120, then you are not eligible to apply to any Full-Time ND programme in the school. Instead, you can just apply for a Part-Time ND programme. The Part-Time Programmes run only on weekends.
• The applicant must have chosen the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Ijebu Igbo as his/her First/Second Choice institution in JAMB.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme Requirements.

To apply into any of the HND programme, you(the applicant) must meet and fulfill the following conditions;

• Applicant must have a National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant fields. Also, the applicant must have a minimum of 5 O’ level Credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings.
• Applicant must have gone for a year Post ND cognate experience (Industrial Training) and have proof to show for it.
• Applicants with professional qualifications like ICAN will have a greater advantage over other applicants.
• Applicants who had less than a Lower credit (Pass grade) in their National Diploma will be required to have at least 2 years Post ND cognate experience. If you had a Pass in your ND, and not up to 2 years of industrial training, then you will not be considered for admission.

All HND-seeking Aspirants should know that during Application into any of the Full-Time Programmes, they will be required to fill their JAMB Registration Number, which was used for their National Diploma Programme.

If you, as an HND Full-Time applicant fail to input your JAMB Registration number, you will not be considered for admission. Your JAMB Registration Number will be used to verify the details you have provided.

AAPOLY Admission Form Price.

Applicants putting in for the Full Time and Part-Time National Diploma Programmes will have to pick up an admission form after paying a non-refundable sum of Twelve thousand, five hundred naira (N12,500).

On the other hand, candidates applying into the Full-Time and Part-Time Higher National Diploma Programmes will pay a sum of fifteen thousand, five hundred nairas (N15,500) only for the admission form.

Abraham Adesanya Acceptance Fee.

Upon Admission into the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, successful Candidates will be required to pay a one-time non-refundable fee. This is known as the acceptance fee. The acceptance fee is paid only once.

It is used as an admission confirmation. That is, if you pay the fee, then you have accepted the admission space offered to you by the Polytechnic. On the other hand, if you fail to pay the acceptance fee before the stipulated time, then you have already rejected your Admission offer.

Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic School Fees for Certificate Courses.

Recently, the administration of the AAPOLY introduced some certificate courses to be offered in the institution. Graduates of these courses receive a certificate at the end of the programme.

The introduction of this certificate Programmes was so to curb the issue of unemployment and poverty in the Ijebu Igbo area. The area, which was considered rural had a large number of poor masses who had no job at hand. Therefore, these certificate Programmes will give citizens the opportunity to learn handwork and skills, to become better people.

We all know Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic is a State Government institution, so we should expect the fees to be a bit high but actually worth it. The certificate courses and their school fees are;

• Computer Appreciation/Desktop Publishing – N40,000 (6 months).
• Computer Engineering and Programming – N40,000 (6 months).
• Block Making -N40,000 (6 months).
• Plumbing works – N40,000 (6 months).
• Photography – N40,000 (6 months).

• Carpentry/Furniture – N60,000 (12 months).

In addition to the enlistment of these aforementioned Certificate Courses, the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic has also introduced remedial courses to improve education in the Ijebu-Igbo area of Ogun State. The Remedial Courses include:

What is the general cut off mark for the Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic?

The Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic has announced that the general cut off mark for JAMB UTME admission is 120. This is the benchmark that all interested candidates must cross before they can be eligible to apply for the Post UTME.

The benchmark of 120 gives aspirants the opportunity to apply into full-time National Diploma Programmes in the school. Students who scored less than 120 but wish to apply for the ND Programmes can only put in for Part Time sessions.

If you know you have scored lesser than 120 in your JAMB UTME, do not bother applying to full-time ND Programmes. Your application will be considered invalid. Simply follow the instruction in the previous paragraph.
