Do you know that a graduate of YABATECH (HND holder) is currently rated on the same scale educationally with a B.Sc degree holder?
At some points, there was clamour for the polytechnic to be upgraded and approved by the senate to award full time degree courses and certificate, this was turned down due to that fact that the initial purpose it was established would be defeated should the bill be passed and the general public was made to understand that YABATECH is in no way inferior to any university, however, some schools (Departments) were approved to award B.Sc degree only on some courses.
