FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NASARAWA: COURSES, SCHOOL FEES, SCREENING FORM & ADMISSION PORTAL

The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa abbreviated as FPN was established on the 1st of July 1983. The polytechnic is a government-owned polytechnic targeted towards promoting technological development in the country, Nigeria. The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is located in Nasarawa State, Nigeria. The institution has over 10,000 students.

The Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is an approved polytechnic and recognized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Nigeria. The polytechnic is one of the most sought-after polytechnics in Nigeria; especially in the Northern part of the country. This is attributed to the quality training it offers in science and technology. In 2019 it matriculated over 3,681 students including National Diploma and Higher National Diploma students.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS INTO FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NASARAWA

Requirements for National Diploma (ND) program

i. Applicants must be 16 years and above.

ii. A minimum of 6 credits in O’level results in Mathematics and English language and other relevant subjects.

iii. Minimum of 120 in JAMB.

Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time Requirements

i. ND in relevant field from recognized Polytechnics with at least lower credit plus 5 credits in SSCE O’level, GCE and its relevant, subjects include Maths and English.

ii. A minimum of one-year post qualification industrial training (IT)

HND Part-Time Requirements

The same requirements for a Higher National Diploma full-time programme as stated above except post ND working experience which is not compulsory.

FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC NASARAWA FEES

• Acceptance fee

Acceptance fee is paid by newly admitted students indicating acceptance of the offer of admission and interest in the furtherance of all other admission requirements. This need to be paid within the stipulated period. The acceptance fee for Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is #5000.

• School fees

The tuition fee for ND1 is #33,900 and the tuition fee for HND1 is #34,900

Note: there are other charges that would be paid once you start registration. Some include faculty dues, library fees, ICT fees e.t.c.
