What is the meaning of NYSC
NYSC stands for National Youth Service Scheme. NYSC was created to rebuild, reconstruct and reconcile Nigeria after the brutal civil war. NYSC helps foster unity, nation-building, and development of our country Nigeria.
What NYSC is all about?
NYSC is also known as the National Youth Service Scheme was set up to create National Unity and Harmonization across the different regions in Nigeria amongst graduates.
Graduates of tertiary institutions are sent to different parts of the country to serve the motherland in different sectors ranging from teaching to working in the health sector depending on the course of study. Graduates are sent also to the rural areas to cover for the deficit in the skilled section of the population in the rural areas.
NYSC was established on 22 May 1973
How NYSC calculate age for mobilization
NYSC relies on the information submitted to JAMB during registration. So NYSC calculates age for mobilization based on the age used during JAMB registration to the current age using your “Date of Birth”. Once you get to 30 years and above, you will be exempted from going for the mandatory National Youth Service Scheme.
Who composed NYSC anthem?
Reverend Oluwole Adetiran composed the NYSC anthem. He was a graduate of Music at the University of Nigeria and was doing his NYSC at the Polytechnic Ibadan when he composed the NYSC anthem.
Can NYSC be deferred?
Yes, NYSC can be deferred. A person can wish to defer his or her NYSC by not reporting to the camp. But this must not be done more than once. In other words, you cannot defer more than once.
Can NYSC relocation be done twice?
No, NYSC relocation cannot be done twice. You can only redeploy/relocate just once throughout your service year.
Can NYSC certificate be forged?
Nothing is impossible. So, Yes the certificate can be forged but you should know that NYSC certificates can be verified even online. Forgery is a crime in the Nigerian constitution and you may go to jail when caught.
Can NYSC be done twice?
No, NYSC cannot be done twice. It is against the rules and regulations guiding the scheme. There might be a handful of people who have successfully gone for NYSC twice but when caught, they will face the law. Remember that NYSC has a database
NYSC is how many months?
NYSC program lasts for approximately 12months. These 12months is divided into 3weeks of orientation and 11months of working in the posted facility

How NYSC works?
The NYSC works by allowing graduates who are under the age of 30years to do the program for one year. This is divided into a 3weeks orientation camping activities after which they are deployed for 11months to a place where they will work for the remaining duration of the NYSC scheme.
When I fully register my NYSC on cafe, I was informed to use phone to check for update, anytime for callup latter comeup.
So I checked one day B4 the callup latter,I see change of name on the dashboard and I apply for third name, I it was approved. where as am using 2,2 name in all my certificate
I got to NYSC camp I was deniel of my name dat All my certificate name is 2 why is my dashboard 3, I was told to consult my school for notification which my school did ,but nothing change on the dashboard till now. I suppose to join bash B stream to finish but am thinking of revalidating.why is like that???
