No, Yaba Tech is not a University. People confuse Yaba Tech which is an extraordinary polytechnic to be a University. Yaba awards B.sc and does degree programmes in Technical and Vocational education. This is done in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). They also offer Post-Graduate Diploma in Engineering in partnership with the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

4. Will Yaba Tech accept 3rd choice?
Yaba Tech does not accept 3rd choice candidates. You will have to choose Yaba College of Technology as your First Choice Institution before you will be considered for admission.

6. Can I enter Yaba Tech without JAMB?
Candidates who want to study full time must possess 5 O’level credits including English and Maths and should get above 180 in UTME / JAMB to be considered for admission.
Candidates who want to do a part-time programme do not need JAMB to enter Yaba Tech but must possess 5 O’level credit passes including English and Maths, must be 18 years of age at least and should buy Yaba College of Technology part-time admission form.
In summary, full-time students need JAMB while part-time students do not need JAMB.
7. Yabatech and Laspotech which is better
Some people have been asking how good is Yabatech without realizing that Yaba Tech is the best polytechnic in Nigeria in 2021. So to answer the question of which polytechnic is better between Yabatech and laspotech, Yaba Tech of course is better than Laspotech.

Yabatech and Auchi poly which one is better
Yabatech and Auchi Poly are among the best polytechnics in Nigeria but yearly the rank of the two schools do change. So one may be better this year but what about next year. But I will choose Yaba Tech over Auchi Poly
I was once a student of yabatech part time class of 2012/13 but was unable to finish due to certain things so I don’t know if I can still continue from where I stopped or just buy another part time form
Reach out to the department. You should be able to continue from where you stopped before. But it is dependent on how long you have been away from school
That will only be possible if u had pause ur programme before leaving thou as it stands now the student year has elapsed
